\nHow I Met the Outcome This Term<\/p>\n
I met this outcome by completing the following activities:<\/p>\n
Reading and discussing the assigned readings.
\nParticipating in the weekly discussion forums.
\nCompleting the assigned quizzes and exams.
\nCompleting the evidence-based practice project.
\nThrough these activities, I learned about the importance of evidence-based practice in the care of patients with nutritional needs. I also learned about the different evidence-based interventions that nurses can implement to meet the nutritional needs of their patients.<\/p>\n
How I Will Implement the Information from This Course into My Clinical Practice and Personal Life<\/p>\n
I will implement the information from this course into my clinical practice by:<\/p>\n
Using evidence-based interventions to meet the nutritional needs of my patients.

\nEvidence-Based Intervention<\/p>\n
One evidence-based intervention that nurses can implement to meet the nutritional needs of their patients is the use of a nutrition care plan (NCP). An NCP is a written document that outlines the goals of nutrition care, the interventions that will be used to achieve those goals, and the expected outcomes of the interventions.<\/p>\n
NCPs are developed by dietitians and other healthcare professionals, but nurses can play a key role in implementing them. Nurses can educate patients about the importance of good nutrition, help them to make healthy food choices, and monitor their progress towards their nutritional goals.<\/p>\n
