An overview of the NINR’s Research Framework and how it can be translated into evidence-based practice.

The NINR’s Research Framework is a comprehensive scientific strategy that outlines the institute’s research priorities and guides the development of new nursing science. It is based on six interrelated research lenses that are designed to capture the complexity of healthcare and inform the development of evidence-based interventions that improve health outcomes.

The six research lenses include: symptom science, wellness, self-management, end-of-life and palliative care, innovation, and health disparities. Each lens highlights a specific area of inquiry and provides a unique perspective on nursing science.
