For this assignment, you will conduct a critical analysis of an article (with a specific methodology) related to the problem you identified in Week 1. A critical analysis includes a breakdown and critique of components of the study. This includes the following:

Alignment of the problem and the methodology
Study limitations
Strength of the evidence
Validity and reliability of the study

Instructions

Locate a scholarly, peer-reviewed article from the past 5 years in the University Library that:

Relates to the problem you identified in Week 1
Uses cross-tabulation, correlation, or regression analysis within the methodology of the study

Access the Age and Blood Pressure data set.

Obtain descriptive statistics for each variable.

Perform a bivariate correlation Correlation analysis tool in Excel.

Perform a bivariate correlation analysis following the techniques in the assigned videos. Make sure to check the output option, “New Worksheet.”

Is CVD mortality rate (DthCVD) in the United States predicted by the variables, tobacco smoke as a percent of the population (TobaccoSmokPer) and the percent of adults that met the federal guidelines on physical activity (AdultPhysExPer)?
