Strategies for Supporting Students with Disabilities

Students with disabilities have diverse learning needs and preferences, so they require instruction that is tailored to their strengths, interests, and goals. Teachers can use various methods to differentiate instruction, such as modifying the content, process, product, or environment of learning. Schools can promote inclusion and diversity by providing professional development, creating inclusive policies and practices, facilitating peer support and mentoring, and celebrating diversity .
