Hence, you will not be writing about the legalization of marijuana in the U.S. As we know the class is named Comparative International Criminal Justice Systems.
Here are a few ideas for potential topics:

Human trafficking: This is a major issue in many countries around the world, and is often perpetrated by criminal organizations. You could discuss the policies and practices that different countries have in place to combat human trafficking and the effectiveness of these measures.

Drug cartels: Drug cartels are major criminal organizations that operate in many countries, particularly in Latin America. You could discuss the policies and practices that different countries have in place to combat drug cartels and the effectiveness of these measures.

Cybercrime: With the increasing reliance on technology, cybercrime is becoming a major issue in many countries. You could discuss the policies and practices that different countries have in place to combat cybercrime and the effectiveness of these measures.

Corruption: Corruption is a major issue in many countries and can have significant impacts on the criminal justice system. You could discuss the policies and practices that different countries have in place to combat corruption and the effectiveness of these measures.
How the Paper / Research Assignment is graded is explained in the tab on the left-hand side named “Graded Assignments”. Do not give both the pros and cons of a issue. Take a stand and focus on a criminal justice policy or illegal activity within one foreign nation or one foreign criminal enterprise (e.g. drug trafficking organization; human trafficking; some other type of illegal activity, etc.). As mentioned above, it must be a minimum of 4-5 completed / full typed pages (e.g. 4-5 full pages of substance). Thus, your Paper / Research Assignment will end somewhere on page 5 or 6. As is stated a few times in this announcement, the cover page and / or the Works Cited / footnotes page do not count as substance. The Paper / Research assignment needs to include citations / footnotes from a minimum of four (4) different sources. This Paper / Research assignment must be submitted as an attachment using a current version of Microsoft Word This is an academic assignment. It must be written in a proper academic format without typographical and / grammatical errors (this includes no spelling errors).
