– Helping students with homework, assignments or projects at home or at school.
– Volunteering in the classroom or at school events such as field trips, fundraisers or extracurricular activities.
– Joining parent-teacher organizations or committees that support the school’s goals and programs.
– Attending workshops or seminars that provide information and guidance on how to support students’ learning and development.
– Advocating for students’ needs and interests at the school or district level.

Parent involvement is a key factor that influences student academic achievement. By being involved in their children’s education, parents can help them improve their performance, motivation, self-esteem and aspirations. However, parent involvement also faces some challenges and barriers that need to be addressed by schools and families.
