According to Roig (2017), academic integrity is essential for maintaining the credibility and reputation of academic institutions.

Professional practices and scholarly ethics are also closely related because professionals are expected to uphold ethical principles in their work. Nursing is a profession that values ethical behavior and adheres to a strict code of ethics. Professional ethics refers to the moral values and principles that guide the conduct of professionals in their work. Nursing professionals are expected to maintain high standards of ethical behavior, such as providing safe and compassionate care, maintaining confidentiality, and avoiding conflicts of interest (American Nurses Association, 2021). Professional integrity is essential for building trust and maintaining the credibility of the nursing profession.
