Quality Improvement and Program Evaluation

Develop a narrated PowerPoint presentation that highlights the principles of business, finance, economics, and health policy and how they contribute to the improvement of quality of care.
It’s a chance to connect core management ideas to real-world healthcare practice in a way that feels both meaningful and relevant to your professional growth.

Instructions:

Provide a broad introduction slide on the topic.
Take a moment to set the tone and help your audience understand why this topic matters for today’s healthcare landscape.

Describe each of the principles (business, finance, economics, and health policy).
Make your explanations clear and engaging so that even a non-specialist could follow your reasoning with ease.
Describe how each of the principles contribute to the improvement of quality of care.
Consider including examples or real data points to illustrate your key arguments and make your presentation more grounded.

Describe how the principles collectively contribute to the improvement of quality of care.
Show how these ideas intersect and strengthen each otherβ€”this connection often brings out the most insightful observations.

Be clear on how the principles are important for the development of effective plans for quality-of-care improvement.
Help your listeners visualize how these principles might be applied in actual healthcare settings or policy planning.

Use the information provided in the course as a starting point, however you should be looking for other literature and outside sources to support your presentation.
Exploring beyond the course materials helps you develop a richer, evidence-based understanding of these key concepts.

At least two (2) additional sources should be used outside of the posted course materials.
These extra references demonstrate your ability to research widely and support your insights with credible data.

This presentation should be approximately 10 minutes with no more than 10 slides. This approach encourages you to be concise while discussing these important topics.
Keeping your slides brief will help you focus on clarity and impact instead of overwhelming your audience.

The general guideline is one minute per slide.
That rhythm allows you to maintain a steady flow and ensure your key ideas receive the right amount of attention.

Avoid overcrowding each slide with too much information.
White space and simplicity can be powerful tools in making your message easy to follow and remember.

Use 5-8 bullet points with main ideas, and then include supporting ideas in the speaker notes area for each slide.
Your notes can hold the depth and nuance while the slides highlight the essential talking points.

The presentation should include speaker notes and demonstrate PowerPoint best practices, including the application of APA formatting. Include a title and reference slide which are not included in the total number of slides.
Attention to formatting and professional presentation standards will make your work look polished and credible.

Prepare a 10-slide PowerPoint exploring how economic and financial strategies drive sustainable quality care outcomes.
