As a professional in healthcare, critical thinking is an essential skill that I use in decision making and problem-solving on a daily basis. In a healthcare environment, it is important to be able to analyze and evaluate information, consider multiple perspectives, and make sound judgments based on evidence.

One specific example of how I have used critical thinking in decision making and problem-solving as a healthcare professional is in the management of patient care. When caring for a patient, I often encounter complex situations that require me to consider a range of factors and make decisions based on the best available evidence. For example, when a patient is experiencing multiple comorbidities and is taking a number of medications, I must carefully evaluate the potential risks and benefits of each treatment and make decisions based on what is most likely to improve the patient’s overall health.

I have also used critical thinking in problem-solving situations in the healthcare environment. For example, when a patient is experiencing adverse reactions to a medication, I must carefully analyze the symptoms and consider the possible causes in order to determine the best course of action. This often requires me to gather and evaluate additional information, such as reviewing the patient’s medical history or consulting with other healthcare professionals.
