This week, you will find three scholarly, peer-reviewed research articles on your topic. These articles should provide a strong foundation for your upcoming paper.

Remember that next week you will submit a paper on Scientific and/or Mathematical/Analytical perspectives of inquiry, so use this week’s assignment to prepare materials and collect information for that purpose. Focus on finding articles that present data and analysis relevant to vaccination and infectious diseases.

Use articles that will help you explain and describe scientific issues and/or statistical data or economic information related to your topic. Look for articles that discuss the efficacy of vaccines, epidemiological data, or the economic impact of infectious disease outbreaks.

You will analyze and evaluate these articles in your submission, which should include:

A brief introductory paragraph. This paragraph should introduce the topic of vaccination and its role in combating global infectious diseases and briefly outline the scope of your analysis.

Three separate paragraphs, one for each of the three articles, each presenting:
A brief 3–4 sentence summary of the article (use in-text citations). Summarize the key findings and arguments presented in each article.

An explanation as to what makes this source credible (in the WCU Library go to Research Guides > Research Basics > Evaluating Resources). Consider factors such as the authors’ credentials, the journal’s reputation, and the presence of peer review.

An explanation of why the article will be useful in addressing your problem or issue. Explain how each article contributes to your understanding of the role of vaccination in combating infectious diseases.

A brief conclusory paragraph. This paragraph should synthesize the information from the three articles and summarize the main points of your analysis.

An APA Style reference list on a separate page. Ensure that all citations and references are formatted according to APA style guidelines.

Your paper should be 1–3 pages in length (including the References page). Adhere to APA Style throughout. Pay close attention to formatting, grammar, and clarity of writing.
