Choose one vampire from pop culture (Writers Choice) and complete the following:

As you are learning in the course, vampires appear throughout popular culture in many different ways and places. The goal for this assignment is for you to do some digging on how and where vampires can be found in pop culture. Popular culture (or pop culture), refers to ideas, cultural materials like music, art, literature, games, activities, or other movements in mass media during particular times. You can focus on fictional vampires like those found in literature or games, or you might focus on how vampires are portrayed in shows (think What We Do in the Shadows) or film (like those based on Anne Rice’s novels). You might choose to write about how vampires are used to market products. You can also focus on ‘real’ vampires, it’s up to you, as long as you can connect it to pop culture! Do a few Google searches, look on YouTube, do whatever it takes to find examples of vampires that you can answer all of the required questions posted below.

It may take some looking to find enough information to address the questions listed below. You will write your answers in paragraph form, 400-500 words (1-2 pages, single spaced, 1″ margins, 12-point font) and upload your Word document to the assignment page. You can also attach images files if you want to showcase your pop culture vampire!

Address these five questions in your paper (of course add other things to reach the word limit but I will be looking for these specific answers):

What/who is your pop culture vampire?
Where is your vampire found and in what context?
Who/what audience engages with the vampire? Why is a vampire used?
How is this vampire used/portrayed/marketed? For what purpose?
Include any additional information about your Pop Culture Vampire!!
You must also include references if you used them! These do not count towards your 400-500 word count!
