Willingness to devote time to the task can influence how individuals are matched into groups (Harding, 2018; Garcia & et all., 2013; Francis et al., 2022). Garcia et al. (2013) found that individuals who intended to put in work reported less free riding when matched with like-minded individuals. Limiting social media use has been shown to decrease feelings of loneliness and depression (North et al., 2000). Researchers have also examined how supine body position can reduce neural response to anger (Raio et al., 2013). Overall, these studies demonstrate the importance of factors like willingness, social media use, and body position in shaping human cognition, emotion, and behavior.
